Fairu has just hit a major milestone – we’ve surpassed 10 million requests - just after 2 weeks! This achievement is a huge step in our journey, and we're excited to share what's next.
On February 12th, Fairu officially launched its beta operation in collaboration with our long-time partner VGN and its diverse portal landscape, including TV-Media, Woman, Trend, and News. This marked a significant milestone, and since then, we’ve delivered an impressive 10 million image requests with ease.
But that’s not all: thanks to continuous optimizations in image delivery, we’ve not only boosted performance but also reduced traffic (of course in terms of GiBs - 😉) by up to 66%. A major milestone that showcases how powerful and efficient Fairu already is—and this is just the beginning. We can’t wait to see what the future holds!
What is fairu?
Fairu is the solution to a recurring problem on the web: the legally secure delivery of images in the most optimal way. It’s a SaaS solution specifically designed to integrate seamlessly into other applications and act as a digital asset management system for any underlying platform. Whether it’s NextJS, Laravel, Statamic, or Flutter, Fairu is built to simplify image management across the board.
Fairu is developed in the heart of Europe and hosted in European data centers, ensuring both reliability and compliance with local data protection standards.

In addition to the launch, we’ve also rolled out a deeper integration with VGN in the form of event galleries. This new feature allows the management of images in bulk, along with the assignment of copyrights and licenses, to be fully automated—drastically simplifying the editorial team’s workflow.
