Why a file gets blocked — and How we’re making It clearer
In the past, it wasn’t always obvious why a particular image wasn’t being displayed. This sometimes left users guessing — and that’s something we knew had to change.
Thanks to valuable feedback from our customers, we acted quickly. We’ve now updated the user interface to include clear, essential information whenever a file is blocked. No more confusion — just clarity and control.

New indicators show exactly what’s going on with your files
From now on, visual indicators in the tab bar and next to the save button will instantly show whether a file is being displayed or not. No more guesswork.
If a file is blocked due to copyright or licensing restrictions, this information is now clearly shown right in the tab bar — making it easier than ever to understand what's happening and why.

IPTC and EXIF Data Support — smarter, faster metadata handling
This update brings a powerful new feature to Fairu: support for IPTC metadata. That means embedded information like copyright notices and caption texts can now be automatically read, translated, and processed by our AI.
But we didn’t stop there.
Our AI also intelligently splits and assigns the relevant fields within the system — fully automated. The result? Less manual work during file setup and a much faster path to publishing.
It's one more way we’re streamlining your workflow and putting smart automation to work where it matters most.
In the near future we will support the possibility to define your own prompts to adjust the outcome even better. One positive side effect of these changes: by making IPTC data accessible, we can now feed it directly into our AI-powered image description engine.
This means every generated caption isn’t just descriptive — it’s context-aware. Details like copyright info, photographer credits, and captions are now part of the input, resulting in richer, more accurate outputs.

Subscription Changes: Seamless plan switching without service interruptions
We’ve made some important updates to our subscription model — all designed to give you more flexibility and better value.
Starting now, switching between subscription plans is completely seamless — with no service interruptions.
If you upgrade, the change (including pricing) takes effect immediately. If you choose to downgrade, your new rate will simply apply at the end of your current billing period.
This gives you the flexibility to adapt your plan to your needs — without hassle, without downtime.
