For months, the platform has proven its reliability and performance — with 100% uptime in July as living proof. But this milestone isn’t just about peeling off the beta label. Stock Photos, Now Built Right Into Fairu
Until now, bringing stock photos into Fairu meant a tedious process: downloading, re-uploading, and then manually adding copyright attributions. A handful of steps — and sometimes a real hassle.
We’ve fixed that. For the first time, Fairu integrates directly with a stock photo provider. As a add-on, Unsplash is now available right inside Fairu. Search for the perfect image without leaving the app, and with just two clicks, drop it straight into your library — attribution included.

More Image Formats Supported — Now with EPS and AI
And no, we don’t mean artificial intelligence this time. With our latest update, Fairu now fully supports Adobe Illustrator (.AI) alongside EPS files. Thanks to improvements in our Image Proxy, these formats can now be delivered, cropped, and focal-point adjusted just like any other image.
Behind the scenes, Fairu automatically converts them on the fly into a browser-friendly format — so they display instantly without extra steps. But if you ever need the untouched original, that’s just as easy: simply add ?raw=true to the file URL, and you’ll get the full PostScript version (EPS, PDF, or AI) exactly as it is.
Galleries — Sharing at the Core
Until now, Fairu’s gallery functionality depended on implementing our Gallery API — a powerful option that sites like news.at and woman.at already use extensively and with great success. But there was a catch: creating a gallery experience always required programming and technical setup.
That never sat right with us. So over the past weeks, we’ve been working on making galleries in Fairu more intuitive and user-friendly. It started with a simple preview feature directly inside Fairu. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive — and it inspired us to go further.
With this release, galleries can now be opened and shared directly from Fairu. No coding, no setup, no hassle. Just one click, and your gallery is live and shareable.

The new Fairu gallery makes it easier than ever to showcase all images within a folder — beautifully organized and ready to explore. The folder name is automatically displayed as the gallery header, keeping everything clear and structured.
But it doesn’t stop there: with a fullscreen view and keyboard navigation, browsing through images becomes smooth, fast, and immersive. Whether you’re presenting, reviewing, or simply enjoying your visuals, the experience is designed to be as intuitive as it gets.
New Add-on: Qualified Electronic Signatures — Now Seamlessly Integrated with Fairu
If you’ve been following our LinkedIn, you already saw it coming: Fairu now introduces qualified electronic signatures (QES) as an add-on. With this feature, you can initiate secure signing processes directly through Fairu — using solutions like ID Austria to obtain legally binding signatures. Once completed, the signed document is automatically stored in Fairu, fully integrated into your workflow.
All it takes is an account with our trusted partner Semotec. Their signature solution has been in active development for over 13 years — with parts of our own development team contributing to it in the past. This partnership brings deep expertise and proven reliability directly into Fairu.
The result? A simple, powerful, and legally compliant way to handle electronic signatures — without leaving the platform you already use to manage your files.
We’ve also made it possible to initiate complete signature processes via our API, giving developers the flexibility to integrate the full signing workflow directly into their own applications.
This means the entire signature functionality — from triggering a signing request to receiving the finalized, legally binding document — can now be automated and embedded seamlessly into your systems.
