Custom Domains for fairu are here
Since June 15, Fairu has introduced a new feature to enhance file delivery: support for custom domains. This feature allows assets to be delivered through your own custom domain. All it requires is a simple CNAME record.
What Are Custom Domains?
Custom domains allow you to serve all your assets through a personalized domain instead of using the default https://files.fairu.app. This means your files can be accessed via a domain you own and configure—providing a more branded and seamless experience.
How Do I Enable a Custom Domain?
Enabling a custom domain requires just two simple steps:
Activate the Add-on
Head over to your tenant’s settings panel and activate the Custom Domain add-on with just a few clicks. As part of this update, we’ve also streamlined the settings interface to make it more intuitive and user-friendly.Add a CNAME Record
Once the add-on is enabled, you’ll need to configure a CNAME record pointing to our domain (details provided in the settings).
Please note that using a custom domain comes with a flat monthly fee added to your tenant subscription. You can cancel the add-on at any time.
It’s important that the CNAME record is already globally available before verification, as we automatically issue a free SSL certificate for your custom domain during this process.
Once you've confirmed that your CNAME record is active, you can verify your domain through the provided dialog.
Make sure to save your settings before clicking "Verify" to complete the process.
When setting up the CNAME record, make sure to use files.fairu.app as the target value.
Once you click "Verify" and we detect the CNAME entry, the setup process will begin automatically in the background. This may take a few minutes to complete, as your custom domain is being fully configured on our end.
